1961 Hydrodyne Boat Co Inc 1600, This could be the finest original 1961 left hand drive Hydrodyne around, it is as was built, with original Easy Load trailer. This boat is unrestored, its a survivor. Bought new in Clovis, New Mexico and taken just a short distance to Lake Sumner, where it lived for the next 45 years. They parked it in the garage, of their summer home. The last registration we found was for 1969. It just rested there till the home was liquidated in 2006. We have kept the boat in our mini museum (garage) and used it for parades and car shows behind our 1957 Ford or our friends 1957 Mercury. This boat is truly a time capsule; the upholstery is soft and supple, looks like no one ever sat there. The original 1961 Kiekhaefer Mercury 800-80 hp ran when we first got the boat but the carbs leak; there are carb kits that come with the boat. There are a few little dings in the stainless trim from when it was moored at the loading ramp. The wiring was someones dinner along the way so I removed it. The front marker and flag pole light work, I have them hook to the trailer tail lights so in a parades they come on with the tow cars parking lights. The trailer received a paint job, new tail lights and wiring, new wheel bearings and tires, plus a set of new old stock hub caps The boat and motor received some detailing- wash & wax. This boat has not been in the water since 1969, its just a SHOW BOAT now, but could be plugged, floated and fired up with a little work. Winner of 2008 Museum car show.
